EligibilityConditions for Admission to B.Ed. Two Year Regular Programme as per NCTE Normsis as under:
Candidates with at least 50%marks either in the Bachelor‟s Degree or in the Master‟s Degree in Sciences /Social Sciences / Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology withspecialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any otherqualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme.
Note:
(i) There shall be no rounding off percentage for determiningthe eligibility for admission in B.Ed. Twoyear degree Programme.
(ii) In case where specific relaxation of5% marks in the eligibility condition is to be given to SC/ST/ DifferentlyAbled candidates, the minimium less marks against 55% and 50% marks shall becalculated as under:
55 marks - 2.75 marks = 52.25 marks (5/100×55=2.75);
50 marks - 2.50marks = 47.50 marks (5/100×50=2.50);
(iii) Candidateswith Compartment will not be allowed admission in B.Ed. (Regular Course) in anycase.
(iv) Cut off date for eligibility will be thelast date/time of online choice filling.
(v) One year PG diploma in any subject will notbe considered equivalent to Master's Degree.
(vi) 50% of thetotal seats in each college shall be reserved for Group - I i.e. Science &Arts with Maths- group candidates. Other 50% seats shall be reserved for Group- II i.e. Arts & Commerce Group Candidates.
(vii) Thecandidate who is in employment (wholetime, Part-time or Honrary Service) shallnot be allowed to join B.Ed. Programmewithout taking leave from his/her institution/office etc. This leave should be from the date of commencement of the academicsession to the conclusion of his/her final examination. He/She should also submit “No ObjectionCertificate‟ from his/her employer.
